working on my daily driver: 1986 Mercury Capri which originally was a 4 banger car and now has a 1991 Police 351W with Edelbrock Performer & Holley 750 and had a C4, but I needed the big engine to turn a little slower for gas mileage so I installed an AOD from an 86 Mustang GT. It has a 7.5 inch with 273s. Have some plans. My Project is my 1979 Capri that was originally equipped with a turbo 4 banger and 4 speed. I installed a .030 over 302 with 289 iron 4bbl intake and duals with an '86 GT AOD. I have removed the engine and trans to put in a 1970 351C 2v with Edelbrock Performer RPM and Holley 750 double pumper and a built AODE or smallblock C6. Out back I'll have a Currie Ford 9" with 28 spline axles and 370 truck gears on a limited slip differential. so far..... I still have the 393/351 (intended 4 the '86) on the stand waiting for some aluminum heads.........Stay tuned!
